Poor mans doubled die,if you had the real one,you wouldn't be needing to make this thread, as it is that pronounced on the coin. Keep searching!

Poor mans doubled die, despised by many, because it commands such a high premium, but is actually extremely common. It is die deterioration

It could be a doubled die, it's hard to know from the image posted. Like the others have said, it's not "the" popular doubled die. There are several other doubled dies known for the 1955 cent.

OPs coin is just an extremely worn die. This happened a lot on the wheat cents from the 1950's. They actually used the dies, till they died. Thus all the die crack/chips breaks appear during this time. Even BU coins were known to look bad:
