johnjkedel Pillar of the Community United States 594 Posts	Posted 12/18/2016 11:00 am Just received the coin. It was NOT the coin in the picture.It was another C-6 of much lower grade. Very disappointed. The seller ( generally well respected ) answered my inquiry with " sorry - return the coin... for a refund" Oh well - what can I do .......... maybe it was a listing error. I hope it wasn't bait and switch - probably not since he had a return policy. I should have been suspicious when the buy-it-now price was $200.00. - Just thought I would pass this along. billjones Pillar of the Community United States 1499 Posts	Posted 12/18/2016 11:07 am My suspicions were that the coin you thought you purchased had been cleaned and re-colored. I can't swear to that, having not seen it in person, but the reddish spots and the gray copper color left me thinking recolored with sulfur. At any rate $200 would have been way too cheap for THAT coin, even if it had the recoloring issues. I would say that it was worth $350 to $400 with the problem. If it was an original coin, that would been so ridiculously cheap that all you would have needed would have been a gun to complete the appearance of a robbery. A perfect example of that coin in that grade is worth well over $1,000. I'm sorry that the dealer did a "bait and switch" on you. That's all it could have been at $200. johnjkedel Pillar of the Community United States 594 Posts	Posted 12/18/2016 6:51 pm Coinfrog/Moxking ..... it was just called to my attention that the coin sent to me was the C-6 listed on Dec.14th - still on ebay. The coin I bid on, and thought I won,is shown on my original CCF posting a couple of days ago. ... maybe just a mistake in listings. Report this Post to the Staff
