hi all,,,,, I have this 2000d lincoln,,, and I wanna know if this is just a MAD or something else. obverse and reverse are different and it looks to me its more ellipticle then a solid round,,,, so can I get some advice on what yall see. pics are not great but I'm trying to figure how to get good pics. many thx        |

You got it. It's MAD. The ones that have premium value have some of the devices missing.
I think that these get slightly elliptical from the misalignment.
It might not be worth much but no harm in keeping it until you find a better one.

Hey Johnnymac, you got it right, it's a MAD. One sure way to distinguish between a MAD and an off-center strike is that a MAD effects ONE SIDE only, offcenters show equally on both sides. Caught that one right!  |

x2 on what Crazy said. But you can also have misaligned dies on both sides. You can tell these from true off centered strikes because the misalignment will often not be shifted in the same direction.

john1 I'm just using an old ipod,, with a clip on mag lens and just taking pics through different magnifiers I have,,,,,,, also did yall notice the chicken lips on the cent,,, someone else pointed that out on another site
