Hi! I have recently discovered 2 Gold coins that I got from my grandfather when I was a kid. They are in a great condition as I forgot about them. Photos made them look more scratched than they look in reality. Also, the second coin looks like it was more glossy than the frist one, but it's just different lighting. I would really appreciate it if you graded and evaluated them. Thanks!

I'll go AU-53, maybe 55 for the first; agree with 62 for the 1899.

Nice coins to have in your stash.

Thank you everyone! To be honest I didn't expect them to differ so much in grading. They look very similar, but as I said lighting was a little different. I will let the grading company evaluate them anyway. I really appreciate your answers!

Let me get back on this topic. I would like to sell the 1899 coin but I don't know what would be the fair price considering It is not slabbed. Coins like this one usually go on ebay for ~750$. How much should I go for?

gold scratches very easy even wiping them with a cloth can scratch them. I have the first one at AU55 maybe 58. coin two is closer to MS63 than 62 so i'll go with 63.

It might be worth it to get the 1899 graded. Years ago it would have been an AU, but now it's got a good chance of making MS-61 or 62. The 1895 is a decent AU coin. Grading it might be worth while at the economy rate to prove that it is genuine.
