I don't look at a lot of these but it looks like a vf-35 piece. I don't see any obvious hairlines. But based on the toning, my guess would be yes, cleaned at some point. Is it market acceptable? That would be a question for large cent experts.

If the colors are accurate, I would say it's been cleaned.

On rev, below ribbon shows area where something either was or wasn't removed and look closely around the stars, black gunk, yep, been cleaned

The color is not right for an original coin. It's been stripped at some point, probably long ago.

I have no brain and it certainly looks cleaned to me. Now the $64 question: is this "market acceptable" for grade? (referring to my earlier post on that term)
