I found this CRH. It's a 1983 P Lincoln Memorial cent with a Die Chip on the top of the 8 in the date. Also shows a Die Crack and a Die Clash on the reverse.

I posted this the other day in it's own thread, found in a recently won auction roll. Never had a three stage progression before, only a two.

Thanks the coins are in great shape compared to what I am normally looking at.

After posting this last statement I realized that I had missed a teaching moment in my coin collecting life and as a member of the CCF I need to do better.

Thanks for the progression photos Crazyb0.

Yes USSID18, the coins are better than the chips especially when I can use them for a teaching tool. THANKS

I found both of these CRH through a circulated bankrolls from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. First one is a 19994 P LMC with a "BIE" Die Chip and the 2nd one is from the same year and mint. It has a Retained Die Break in the 9.

Just found my first Fredrick Douglas die chip and my first leaky bucket I saw above that newbie and I found a coin from possibly the same die. Except I think my bucket had dirty water in it.

It's been a while since I had one to post. I found this about three rolls into a $25 box. It also has a Retained Interior Die Break ( Cuds on Coins, RIDB-1c-1958D-03)on the top of Lincoln's head.

Note the indent in the 5 in the below pic. The chip on the 1 looks like it may have come from the 5.
