I found this at midnight today CRH going through a bank box of U.S. Pennies with circulated rolls. I am going to take it out of its flip, just wanted to show how rotated it was and I will put it in a non PVC flip case. I can't believe how much Rotation this coin has on the reverse. I have never found a coin like this until earlier today. I didn't flip the coin side to side. I flip it from the bottom to the top. What is the degree of rotation on this coin?

Assuming you have the coin in the 2x2 perfectly straight with the obv, it looks to me like about 11° rotation on the rev. Nice pick-up!

Spence, thank you for that answer! I got very lucky on this one and found it in circulation. It's in AU condition. Also the obverse is perfectly straight. :)

If you definitely flipped the coin "bottom to top" then your cent has a rotation of around 160°Clockwise rotation. I put cents on my rotation diagram to show you. That is a good one!

RoyCoinBoy, I could do that, but I am keeping it because I have never seen one this rotated before in my whole CRH life. Thank you Mark for showing me that rotation chart. I flipped it bottom to top and that's how rotated the reverse die actually was. Now if the reverse is that rotated, then it carries a good premium.

Mark, you usually don't! It's pretty rare to see a coin like mine with 160 degrees clockwise of rotation. Malgal, you're welcome. It's amazing and always keep your eyes out for this type of error. Rotations like mine carries a good premium.

Very nice coin. I have checked millions of cents the last ten years or so and have found just one from the same die pair. Yours is in much better coindition (new word) than mine though. Still Lookin.

Wow, I didn't know you had one from the same die pair. Is it the same amount of rotation of mine or is it different? I just got lucky on this one. It's in a high AU condition. I was wondering if you can show me a picture of it.

Thank you Buddy. Someone probably pulled it out of a BU OBW roll of 1994 Lincoln cents and spent it recently.

Mine has the same rotation. I will have to dig it out and take some photos. I will have to dig through the safe to find it.
