I am very new here. I saw a few CRH videos and them some videos of bank strap searches. I started pulling a few different notes from change and having been trying to learn what I can about my newest passion. When looking at different notes on eBay I noticed eBay #152757459701 - $20 2013 FRN San Francisco Fr#2098-L PMG 70* ((Perfect note)). It just sold $2077.89 + $2.95 shipping. This seems insane to me, but I guess it shouldn't with some of the prices new high grade coins are selling for. Any thoughts from some veterans to this hobby?

I don't know anything about them, but I have never seen a $20.00 graded that high.

I guess if you wanted to spend over $2000 on an UNC 70 note, no one will stop you, but I think it's pretty silly. Beyond UNC 67 I cannot tell the difference.

There is a QEII One Cent note from Hong Kong, graded UNC 70, also on eBay. They're asking $700 for a one Dollar note. In UNC 67 it's $20.

Notes graded at 70 are absurdly rare. While with modern coins, grading companies regularly churn out 70's on some issues, very very few notes of any kind are ever graded at 70.
