I don't typically go to a physical bank more than a few times a year these days, but today I needed cash. I always ask for anything "unusual" and today I got some! Someone deposited 14 red serial $5s, including two star notes! Most are pretty beat up and may end up getting spent, but these were the best from the lot:

I'm probably only going to save one or two of these... the rest are all series 63 and fairly circulated with folds, small tears, stains, etc. Are those worth the trouble to sell, or should I just release them back to the wild?

If I were saving one, it would be the third one down for condition sake. Neat find at the bank Finn!

I think it's great that you were able to find them. If getting rid of some, get creative. I recently hunted some $2.00 bills. I was going out the next day to run errands and I brought $50.00 in 2's with me. I spread them around buying a coffee, then lunch, gas, more coffee, etc.. They brought a lot of smiles and was much more enjoyable than just bringing them back to the bank. A couple here, a few more there. I found most young adults (or younger) have not seen things like this before and it can be an easy way to make somebody's day.

I personally would keep all of them, if your a member of a coin club you can probably get a dollar over face for the worst of them if they have auctions or just put them away

Nice catch!

I would keep the best one and spend the rest like ImTBM suggested.

Nice pickup from the bank! If I had to guess, someone dumped (part of) a collection.
