That's very, very sneaky. I bet it was a details crackout. TPG's usually call this 'outlined devices'. Probably AT too.

That's a pretty bad job of engraving - almost comical.

Not sure what's worse, the ridiculous tooling or the terrible artificial toning.

Interesting. Since this is a series I don't collect I had always wondered what "4 diamonds" referred to. This coin has helped my education immensely. Accentuate the positive, right?on this coin there doesn't seem to be much positive....

That one is easy to deal with.
For that much money it HAS to be slabbed before I'd even consider it.

I sent the seller a message I'm curious what he says about it. That tooling is funny because the lines go outside the diamond. Thanks for posting!

Ok for those interested... I messaged the seller in a fairly nice way and got a good response. I think you will appreciate what he said. I think its good not to assume the worst right off the bat. He has removed the listing since writing me back.

His response is on top, and my initial message is on the bottom.

He also messaged that he can still return the coin to the dealer he got it from and thanks to the heads up he will be able to do it. So props to bandsdean for catching this!

I used to point things like this to sellers but after so many not so pleasant replies, I stopped. I do however still report fakes and copies.
