10, I am thinking 30, too. by the way, nice pics! What are you using for lighting. I see no hot spots.

jim, I'm using a 23 watt compact florescent bulb for the lighting seem to work good

Yeah, VF-30 sounds about right because I was going to go for XF but the hair is too worn.

I would say about VF20-VF30 depending on who is looking at it. The major reason is the ear. The suit and bow tie have nice detail and are easy to read, the eye is distinct and the cheek bone and mouth are well defined. But the side of the head, ear and beard are rounded which tells you how this coin has been handled. Overall it is a great coin and a great example of a $30+ coin.

I'd go with a cleaned 30... something is up with the obverse... that streak above liberty would bug the bejesus out of me.
