I went to ncgs and compared it to a ms63 that sold for $1030 and this is in better condition!

You could sell it as is or have a jeweler carefully extricate it and hope for no damage.

Considering how rarely anyone uses cufflinks, I'd try for the extraction. Even with a bit of damage it's worth gold value at least.

The link itself is also likely gold, 14Kt. There's no way it will ever be other than damaged, the bar is soldered to the back.

It is a reeded bezel with a tiny split at the junction. Only the bezel is welded not to the coin.
