T'was the day before Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring not even a grouse.
The Hunny Bunny was all warmly tucked in her bed
While the Bluenoser was nursing a throbbing head.

It had rained so heavy the day before
Being inside had become quite the bore.
A great thought the Bluenoser suddenly had
It was not naughty sad or even remotely bad.

To the spare bedroom he did willingly go
Looked out the window and seeing no snow.
Why not go out for a walk with the Freedom three
Instead of sitting starring at a Christmas tree.

So with his detector he made a mad dash
With his keys in hand, pocket with some cash.
Out of the drive way, left on the street.
Digging in December what a real treat.

The ground was mushy in several spots
Litter on the field from the little school tots.
Bell tones from the Garrett now joyfully sounded
As the Lesche tool in the ground constantly pounded.

After a while Bluenoser's knees did rock and roll
He had to give up before his 50 coin goal.
Ten short of quota with eleven dollars thirty five
The Bluenoser returned home feeling barely alive.

French Dave had come a knocking a few days before
Leaving Bambi meat as he walked out the door.
So when he shoots Dasher, Prancer and Scooboo Do
Come to the Bluenoser's for some great wild stew.

Not a dirt fisher myself, but that is pretty funny--nicely done.

Nice job! We had temps in the 20's last few weeks, then turned to be 40's-50's last week now an arctic front is moving down and going to be teens for the highs and Zero for nightime lows. Impossible to detect from frozen ground to pure mud - back to frozen ground. See ya next spring.
Rest in Peace
