I'm no expert with this series..but to me that looks more like an AU-58 and maybe just maybe it could slide into low UNC..

Just wondering about general eye appeal. It looks to be graded conservatively to me. I've been looking for a higher end example. I see some rough surface areas. Might that be due to Die Deterioration? Would you go for this one?

Accurately graded, never cleaned or dipped, lovely color. I like it, and I'm a grumpy picky dude.

Appears to be an N-17 variety (common). I've not heard of a repunched date '53 but there are many things I've not heard of... Looks a nice coin.
