Thank you, MoneyPenney for update and the list.

Sad to think about reduced interest to these monthly releases, observed on the site and "other" resource.

Anyway, the credits for the known seller, who provided some pictures.

**Pysanka will be necessary purchase, for people who collects the series. For my taste, the current design is "too much orange"

**Interesting will be to see the SML Anniversary tribute, although pricing doesn't make it attractive at all. This price tag should be attached to the anniversary "Fractional set"...

**Moon Mask - curious about the design

Thanks MoneyPenney.

I was curious about the pysanka coin and gold plated from RCM only means one thing...

Any sign of the 1/2oz silver maple leaves in the Feb release?

There have already been three "tribute" issues for the 30th anniversary of the SML - the two-coin proof/reverse proof set, the four-piece square-shaped set and the two-ounce piece with selective gold-plating on its anniversary ribbon (all issued in Q4 of 2017).

Now another in the February 2018 release?! Too many coins commemorating a previous coin, IMO!

1/2 oz. Maple leafs sound interesting and then I recall the RCM policy on not caring about milk spots and I back off.

They are numismatic, Aghawk.

Started in 2011 (not the 2006 Wolf) and as far as I remember, never milk spots have been detected on them.
Probably RCM covers them with "anti-spots" spray or something. Joke.

Waiting to see the 2018 as well. Still collecting this series - I have few slots "free" in the 12-coin RCM case.

I'm surprised with the upcoming Winter Olympics taking place next month, there is no mention of a 2018 Lucky Loonie, both circulating and silver versions.

Will there be any Olympic coin series? The Olympic stamps are being advertised and are available for purchase at CP.

Cheers.

I haven't seen a Privy Council Order authorizing a circulating commemorative for the Olympics - they are usually issued months ahead of issue.

The RCM doesn't need any such order to issue NCLT, so anything is possible on that front in February.

Thank you, Justsilver, for the coin-by-coin February "visual guide".

5oz Maples I found impressively designed
"Military Valour" and "Wolf" coins aren't bad at all.
"Mask" coin - nice, but I really see no big difference between this design and the designs of 2015 Mask coins set.

Thanks for the images - it's always nice to get an advanced look at the new releases.

Nothing for me this time around, but I wonder if the Apple Blossoms and Pysanka coins will prove popular.

I know that I'll definitely buy the specimen set. I have to wait until the rest of the items are pictured on the RCM website to see what the face-value of the remaining coins are before I decide.
$2 face or less = I buy!

@atticguy: I don't know if you'll consider it good news or bad news, but the only $2 (face value) coin to be found among the February releases is in the Specimen Set.

I am missing the point of the question and the response. Please explain

Atticguy wants to see the face value of the rest of the coins in the set. Aren't they $2, $1, 50c, 25c, 10c, 5c?
All with the specimen finish, while only the $1 is special (obverse). And later we will have another set with the "Young Wildlife" with special $2 coin.
