Ok here is a nice 64 D quarter with delam running from the S in States through much of the left side of the coin, perhaps to the lower edge. Nice condition as well. Really a fun find. Rich

That's different - never really saw Lamination on a clad quarter. And the debate remains - "Delamination"? Or just "Lamination"?

Now that would make an interesting poll!

Working on Whitman Large Cent date set album 1793-1857 (56 holes filled of 64 total) now come the "toughies" - yikes!

Look like a grease plug not a lamination. Technically it is a "DE" lamination. Kamination is the stiration of metal (or another substance) adhered to another. Laminate flooring per se, is the layering process of manufacture. Lamination of metal as seen on coinage is the mixing of the metal alloys NOT adhereing to one another. This has nothing to do with a part being "attached" or not, it is the process of manufacturing of the stock blanks and plates.

And you still haven't because that's a silver quarter.

That's a neat one and definitely what I call a lamination flaw, or simply, lam. Thanks for sharing!

The K & L are next to each other on the key board. So probably 'lamination' misspelled.
