09 (butterfly among stalks) or 02 (are those quail?), but all of the last four are pretty nice.
Working on: Peace dollars (two to go), US type (early Bust era), Indian quarter eagles, Chinese pandas, and San Francisco tokens.

I like 08 and 09, but the latter has a very nice simplicity to it that would be the best in my opinion.

#11 in my opinion depicts the most relative image of a grassland prairie.

I would prefer #1,#8,or #11.#9 is the least representative of a prairie IMO.

They are a "prairie chicken". A native bird to the prairie mainly in the eastern part of the state.
The "hole" that you see at the side of the head is actually a sac that inflates,like a balloon,when courting the female.

As a resident Kansan, I love the simplicity of no. 10. Nothing says prairie like switch grass, which is everywhere in our great state.
