Au58. Slight rub. Gash in liberty's thigh. Very nice.

Seems like most issues are due to the mushy strike. No gash on Liberty's thigh, it is part of the design. MS-63

I think what you are seeing is apart of the design. here is a close-up. I see the same gash in PCGS photo grade.

Nice coin! Having not graded one of these before, but from what I know what to look for, I would agree to grading above AU-58.
Rest in Peace

I'm at 58+ . There are numerous issues on obverse that I just couldn't live with .
Sorry but I'm just calling it as I see it .

T-Bop - no need to apologize, you should call em as you see em. I what I would expect. but could you help me learn by identifying some of the numerous issues that you see?

tryin2learn > In LIBERTY , hit on I, R, T, and Y . Hit on bottom star right side . Hit on 0 in the date . Drapery that goes from shield to her right arm, her arm is all beat up on 2nd obverse pic .

I agree slight rub on high points and in fields dictates AU-58 grade. Hit on 0 in the date jumps out; otherwise marks don't look too bad. Does not meet full head criteria but decent eye appeal overall.

Care to share the purchase price?
