Nice high grade example of this rarity. Found it in a large set of rolls I bought today that are mostly memorial cents that were collected and rolled around 1984. Thus the 1983 and 1984 coins are in great condition and hopefully more such animals will pop up as there are over 100 of these rolls and I've only gone through 4 so far.

Remind me to share with you some interesting coins that are on 1984 Cents, that were not deemed as a doubled die.

Nice find! The 1983-84 cents are really good for DDOs. I hope I find one of these someday.

Ok, I'm on my computer:

The area above the LIBERTY on the tops of the devices, looked enlarged more than the lower parts. But it was determined to be possible die wear. I saved about 50 for that year. I could see it on some and other not showing it. So I think it some form of Die Deterioration or polishing on that area.

All the other devices looked normal. The areas in question were not exactly like the hubbing.

Just an update here. I sent this WDDO-004 coin to Dr. Wiles since CONECA does not have this one listed. It was sent back as "Not a DDO. I think this one is more likely to be Die Deterioration. I will need to see an EDS to convince me otherwise." So now we have one attributer saying yes, and one saying no. World's latest "controversial" coin ;)
