IMO it's not a gas bubble from what I can see. I've never seen one that big if it is - it would be a world record.  Please show more and better pictures of BOTH sides. It's just too hard to determine without more information.

No sign of damage to the reverse. The LI in LIBERTY are on top of the area in question. Looks like IN is slightly affected too and it's on top of it. I don't see any PMD. If was gas, I'd expect the plating to be split on those devices that are over it. My gut says a highly worn obverse die - which is debatable as to being an error or not. Given the size of the anomaly, I'm not 100% sure. I've seen this (to a more minor degree) on tons of Zincolns but never this much. Hopefully someone more experienced in errors will chime in.

In the future, please crop your photos, and resize them to where the longest side is 800 pixels or less.

Heavily worn die? That would be my best guess. Like stated above, no splitting, no damage to the reverse. Looks to be heavy Die Deterioration. Edit: just realized that it could be trapped gas! Thats what I'm leaning towards. -CH27
