This is a rare bird, with maybe this being the third one known. But I have finally tracked one down and although the reverse is a bit corroded it'll do. Knocks off another tough one for the DDO-001 collection with 1987-D high on the hit list right now. The doubling on this coin shows as very strong notching on the LIBE, some visible bits on the 199 and the shape of the 0 in the date, and tiny little notches on IN GOD. But for just how strong it is on LIB, it is equally hard to photograph well as there is notching on the tops and bottoms of the letters and hard to find a way to show both bits well. But I think I got pretty close. 1990 Lincoln Memorial cent doubled die DDO-001 - rare

Awesome find! I didn't realize there was a DDO this noticeable for the 1990 Lincoln cent. Looks like I've got another one to look for! Nice find! -CH27

Awesome find and congratulations tropicalbats! You better get that coin protected now, since there's a tiny bit of zinc rot setting in. If you find your 2nd one, let me know. And I assume you found this CRH?

Guess I didn't know about this one either or the 87 D for that matter! I would probably never be able to tell. I'm still not good at the DDO's. I have only found some minor eyelids and the 84 doubled ear which was easy to see. Nice one tropicalbats

THanks! And CRH? If only I could be so lucky. I paid a dear price for it but would do so again as they are just so hard to come by.

Even if you paid a fortune for it, it was well worth it!

tropicalbats, Are you collecting only DDO-001 coins? What about DDR-001? Only certain class doubled dies? John1
( I'm no pro, it's just my humble opinion ) Searched 5+ Million Cents Since 1971

Hi John, The collection is all business strike Lincoln cents with a DDO-001 (CONECA) attribution. I actually do have some of the proofs, so maybe it's really just all of them. While tempting to also shoot for DDR-001, RPM-001, WDDO-001, etc., I wanted to keep it fairly tightly focused and with a lot of coins that people would be interested in. For better or worse, most of the DDRs are pretty basic class 6 doubled dies, while a number of the DDOs are RedBook and/or highly desirable/popular. I need to update the list now, but the list of missing dates has been on the forum for over a year. Not one reply/PM/anything from this posting but it gives me a linkable place to keep the list if anyone asks what I'm still missing. I think that post may have the record for most views without a reply as it was at 0/771 when I checked to get the link: http://goccf.com/t/304015Most of the stuff on there isn't rare, it's just things I haven't personally found nor the typical stuff that is for sale. Who looks for 1975 DDO-001? Who would even try to sell one if they had one as it's not worth anything? So not rare and valuable just darn hard to put one's hands on. I need to go over and remove the 1990, but soon I am going to do a bigger edit and create a second list of coins I would like to upgrade as well. The plan is also to put a thread on here with all of them from 1909-1939 but I have been struggling to find 1929-S DDO-001 and so it is still one coin from complete. That said, some of the coins in that part of the set are pretty worn and I look forward to going back through them all, taking photos, and seeing if they all stand up as the DDO I originally called them. It is possible I will kill some of them and have to re-find some dates that I "think" I have. Eventually I will do a thread on the later coins as well, but still a number of holes in there. That said, it's a big collection as there are a lot of them, and soon there will be 2019 to find I suspect.
