Seeing I'm the first to reply, I'll take a wild guess and say both have
crowns on the reverse.

Well when the province of upper Canada and lower Canada merged only the bank of upper Canada was allowed to continue issuing tokens.

So I'll take a stab as both the bank of upper Canada and The Royal Mint are in Toronto
