After spending the last several years using (and filling) a "blank" quarter folder for my newest Canadian quarters, I decided to buy (online) the newest Whitman folder of the series. This is named "Number Six" and is numbered #4007.

Folder "Number Five" had ended with the 2007 'regular' quarter and then the 2007-2009 Vancouver Olympic set.

Folder "Number Six" begins with the 2010 base and Remembrance types, followed the 2011-2013 base labels. Also, there are two 'special' areas that have holes for the six 2011 "Parks Canada" coin set, and then four holes for the 2012-2013 "War of 1812" set; FOUR!

First off, they had holes for all the "Parks" coins (reg & enameled), so they should have had EIGHT for the "1812" base and enameled coins. The folder is listed at being made in 2014, so I'm not sure why they neglected the following four 'arctic' coins (two types and two different finishes each). It's possible they printed the folders in 2013 before the last four RCM releases.

Also MISSING are the 2008 and 2009 base quarters (they are not in the previous folder, and the seven 2009 "Vancouver Golden Moments" coins.

I basically waisted the $5 I spent for this folder. A totally unprofessional design; in my opinion.

I like the Kaskade albums by Lighthouse for Canadian coins. Cost effective, safe and no need to worry about missing holes.

I hate Folders. I only use Albums.

Yes, I would prefer putting coins in albums instead of folders. I do have eight albums for some of my USA coins, but as far as getting them for all my collection; I don't think so. They are a little pricey for me, and they are pretty bulky too.

Aside from the 8 albums, I currently have 22 Canadian folders and 44 US folders for my circulated coins, and seven 'home made' binders full of 2x2's for my proof, specimen, and NCLT Canadian coins. My Kennedy half albums are full, so I've had to put my 2009-to-current purchases into folders again.

Folders are generally okay for circulated coins as long as they are stored well. Coins will be affected by the environment more than they would in albums (just as album coins are affected more than coins in capsules).
