Im seeing double in the error/varieties section so decided to do something constructive. Don't be too stingy now.

No, but not the one you might expect. Interesting about the cleaned phenomenon it runs deep like a corroding thread. Rumor has it these coins are not cleaned.

# 2: EF-40 PCGS cac
# 3: NGC upgraded W 57th Street Collection.

Westernsky you win. The others are the toughest graders this side of the pearly gate. I have questions about coin # 2 it just ain't that great.

No grade, its in one of the West 57th ST. Collection slabs NGC cranked out during the marketing of the hoard. No details or cleaned label. The holders in a normal color description. I have searched all over the web looking for why NGC did not grade these? every single article I looked at - probably more than 50 turned into a rabid discussion of pros cons etc. I honestly don't know what no grade equates to other than "we had too many so judge for yourself". No honest question is ignorant to ask so I'm asking does anyone know NGC's point on these slabs? My gut tells me it was simple mass marketing. I purchased it for 40 bucks to put in my 2nd album of cleaned and dinged walkers. I passed on the cac coin, it really looks like a 35 to me so never bid on it,the 1st coin is really nice in hand. The shiny cleaned color is pretty flat Grey in hand looks alto different than pics. These 38 D's are a bargain at XF. and below.

NGC did the same no grade bull with the infamous Binion Hoard of stuff. I think they thought the legacy of the coins was worth more than what the grading would be.

I would also imagine the bulk submission rate for no grade just a label was pretty cheap...maybe 1$ per coin ...maybe even less.

The no grade is a decision by the submitter, the exact details only they and NGC know. The basic premise though is that if something doesn't reach a certain grade then it gets put in a slab with no grade at a much cheaper rate. Sometimes you'll see them with terms like BU or uncirculated as well.
