Most laminations that strong and on a good date only come up as buy it now coins at relatively high prices, but I let mine go at auction. Even with the multiple bidders I think the buyer got a really fair deal on the coin. Not a bargain, but not overpaying either. Report this Post to the Staff

I have a fairly nice split planchet, but it's AU and has a gash so wanted something more striking and this one came up and I was sold. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm currently working on putting together a set of the 3 or 4 Strong doubled eyes (raw not slabbed) for the 1942 LWC listed in the CherryPickers Guide. Not a big set or anything exciting but they interest me and I already have FS-104, which is the harder one to acquire at a URS-4. The others should just be a matter of coming across them. It would have been so neat to get the other piece of the split with Lincoln's bust on it! (Although I did find one split before the strike that was only 1.5 g if I remember correctly.)
