Hello!

Iīm grateful if someone can help me with description and reference number for this coin.
I have tried wildwinds and asiaminorcoins but I don't find it, maybe I have some wrong with my eyes:-)

What I can read itīs AV K M AVP KΛAVΔIOC / KΛAVΔIOC#1028;Λ#1028;VK#1028;ΩN

Unfortunately, the pictures were not good, but I hope they do the job.

Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for your input.

I also agree it's Antoninus Pius and Men standing right, left foot on bucranium, holding scepter
But I'm getting mad that I donīt find any information about the coin, acsearch, wildwinds etc nothing.

The only emperor that fits this legend would be Claudius II Gothicus
I would assume the Claudius on the reverse legend might be the local magistrate

The ruler is Claudius II. The city is Claudioseleucia in Pisidia, which at an earlier period was known as Seleucia Sidera.

Thank you all for your help.

I wondered if it was Claudius II for a while before I was unsure if it could be Pius.
But I have only seen the text on Claudius II, and the link to
https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=3206661
come closest to those I have seen, thank you for that link.

I thought it might be helpful to parse the legends for those who have been following this thread but may not be familiar with numismatic Greek. O: AY[TOKPATOP] K[AICAP] M[ARKOC] AYP[HΛIOC] KΛAYΔIOC = "Emperor Caesar Marcus Aurelius Claudius". R: KΛAYΔIOCEΛEYKEΩN = "of the Claudioseleucians". The Greek ethnic is typically the city name stated in the genitive (possessive) plural, thus "KΛAYΔIOCEΛEYKEΩN" rather than KΛAYΔIOCEΛEYKEIA. Note: Greek "C" is actually a later form of Σ.
