Here's the second of the two - this one is more toned and was harder to light well.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

H

I got to say nice photo quality in both post..again, don't see the DDO, however on this cent I do see some MD behind Abes ear..Lets see what others say, but I've been studying VV photos to yours and IMO just a normal cent. Keep hunting and good luck on future finds...

Just a normal cent with no doubling. Not a Doubled Die.

The main area on DDO-004 is on LIBERTY.

John1,

Thanks for the input but I think I have to respectfully disagree about the involvement of LIBERTY in the DDO.

Here's Wexler's description, which lists the cross reference to Coneca:

2006 1 WDDO-034 "Best Of" Variety

Description: A very strong spread to the northeast shows as a partial extra earlobe southwest of the normal earlobe along with significant doubling of beard details that extend into the neck.

Cross References: Crawford: CDDO-029, CONECA: 4-O-VIII, Cherrypickers: FS-01-2006-10

And here's the VV description:

Description: Extra strong spread as a separated earlobe and lower beard.

On the WDDO-034 the extra ear lobe is close to the ear. The die gouge or chip on your coin is much further from the ear.
