The reason I really think this one is a DDR is bc I watched a long video of a guy telling all the other specific things that go along with doubling of this particular coin. One thing he talked about was a die scratch on the "O" in OF, which is in the pics. Then obviously the 2 R's. Could this finally be the one?!?!?! Please shoot me straight like always!

The frustration is real. I don't know if I'm looking for the wrong things, not recognizing doubled dies or just horrible luck (which is very possible with me). On average, how many coins will you guys look through before finding a doubled die? I've went through $2200 in kennedy's and $1000 in quarters. I'm down to the last few stacks and still haven't found one. I have found a variety of good stuff like silver (one roll had 20 silvers alone & 4 of them were 64s), a few "no FG" and other random unique coins. I've had some extremely close calls that some people on here even thought were DD at first and weren't but shouldn't I have found a DD in all of that?

There are many forms of doubling, some have a premium some don't. Here is a link to help with that http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/...Doubling.htm
Read and reread the entire page. It takes practice,so hang in there.

Agreed, Machine Doubling

Remember, for Double Dies, that details would have to actually be doubled, look much thicker and unusual. Machine Doubling looks like a faint image of the details, almost like a ghost, imprinted near the details.
