I know it's not silver as I can see the copper core but when dropped it has that familiar sound. It weighs 5.092 +/- grams. Just not sure about the oddity. Could it just be as simple as a thin planchette? Enlighten me please and thank you as always!

@DJD, the tolerance was about 0.2 g on these http://goccf.com/t/251134#2113155) and with this amount of wear, I think that it might have still been intolerance as minted. Hard to say now though I agree.

Not within tolerance, most likely struck on a rolled thin planchet, coin does not have an extreme amount of wear but is nearly .6 grams below spec and .353 grams below minimum tolerance.
