So I decided I should take a closer look at my silver Ike's and I found this one. It looks fairly worn, I don't think it's a proof but with how worn it is I'm not sure I'd be able to tell. Any way one of it's legs is almost completely missing. It doesn't look like it was ever there

You have what we call an Over Polished die issue, from trying to get rid of a Die Clash. It's a very nice example and worth saving in a 2x2. Neat find! http://www.error-ref.com/thinning-a...gn-elements/

Personally I love this coin. Even though it's common it's still cool looking.

I weighed it, it a little over 19.6 g. From the sound and feel I'm still fairly certain it is silver but with it being that under weight I'm not sure of the authenticity of the coin. Though from what I'm reading online it would seem a 20% weight loss is possible with the wear and missing design elements. How would I go about getting it authenticated?

Nice chart. Why not list the first dollar one as 26.7 though? Since you have all the others listed it makes me think of peace or Morgan dollars

I'm waiting on make sure I have everything on there first and then make a new one. The weight of 24.59 was the one from the Red Book. Looking again, I do have it listed above in the Silver planchet area. So it is not needed. But another time when I redo the whole chart, then I'll remove it again.

I understood it, but to my thinking the one labeled "silver planchet" should be 26.7, since the rest of those coins are 90%ers, except the nickel of course. I'd move the 24.59 down a slot to the 40% row, but I do appreciate a work in progress.

@John1
It doesn't feel like it's plated but like I said above it's severely underweight for a Clad or a silver
