LMC: 1987 D Error? And 1968 S Error?

newbie! hoping to get some advice and learn some things here.Found these roll hunting, the 87d seems to have doubling around the D



the 8 seems to be noticeable

to the CCF! I don't see doubling of mint mark on the 1987 coin, but we could determine better with a close up of the mint mark. The 1968 coin looks like Machine Doubling. A good starting reference for doubling is the Wexler site at http://doubleddie.com/300201.html

It is hard to capture the shadow on the D , I'm learning how to take pics and post them.

The 87 shows a DDD Die Deterioration Doubling and as mentioned on the 68 you have a MD Machine Doubling.
