I posted one of my hobo nickels a few months ago, I just found the other one. I have been all over the internet and can not find anything on the initials. The art is familiar but I'm no expert so I'm not going to guess. What do you guys think?

What are the initials you are seeing. I see a 7, a 3 and possibly an 8 looking at it one way. Looking at it rotated 180 degrees I then see an E, a 3, another E then an L.

Nice workmanship!

@PL, unless you have provenance dating back to when hobo nickels were actually made by hobos, I would assume that these are all of modern manufacture, so the price is dependent on the quality of the artistry.

Maybe it was made in 1973 by a person with the initials of BL.

As far as value goes, It is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

The workmanship is pretty nice. You don't see many Jefferson nickels carved up like this.

If it were mine I'd just add it to my collection in the box marked "misc stuff".
