Hi! Newbie here! need help to identify if this is some sort error on this nickel? Never seen one like it before. At first I thought maybe the nickel coating rubbed off and the copper underneath became exposed, but actually looks more like a copper/nickel mixture? weighed out to 5 grams, so I think that's the normal weight? I tried to research and found very little information. I saw a picture of another nickel that had "improper annealing?" does this have any value? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

@em392, first welcome to CCF. Second, since your nickel is of normal weight, it is unlikely to have been minted in the wrong alloy. Rather, it looks like this coin was copper-plated at some point and then circulated further such that this copper plating has now worn off along some of the high points.
