Just pulled this out of a roll of AU/BU. I think it's low grade MS but hard to say for sure how it would grade. Tough bugger to find.

Yup, it occurred to me we were just talking about these. Most of the 1955 rolls I have are EF/AU 1955-S, but there were a couple nicer rolls of 1955-P and D in there so nabbed a number of D/D coins and whatnot plus this one so far (and that 55-D DDO-001). There's like 20 rolls of 1955-S and 1954-S still sitting there so need to decide if I'm going RPM hunting or not. Today I found a 1955-1MM-008 in one of the rolls thus completing my full set of all listed RPMs for 1955-S. Don't need any more of them, but something just pull them out and label them up for doubles.

I have this one too in LDS about the same condition. This one is super hard to get in its EDS! Excellent find tropical bats! AU-50. I do detect some wear along the cheek and jawline of Lincoln.

Very nice find! I remember the EDS one you found a while ago. Both very nice finds. This DD is high on my list to find.

An EDS on one of these is oh so hard to find. But then again the later die stages are hard to find because they just plain are hard to see and can easily be missed.

Here is another one I just pulled out of those rolls, a better grade at MS-63 or 64 if you get lucky. But later die stage and if you haven't seen these before it'd just not be apparent that it's a doubled die.

When I was young, I purchased, years ago, many bags of 5000 wheat cents for $99. I since discovered many RPM's and DDO's/DDRs. Still trying to find an EDS of the 1955 DDO.

I see what you mean.
With that doubling towards the rim I might have mistaken it for Die Deterioration in the later die states.
