So I found this 1964 penny in my change yesterday and I want to know if it is worth any money I think it is, I've done a lot of research on it already but I want somebody who's been around coins for a while to tell me what they think.

@JK8791, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes that is a nice cent that yo have found there--very little in terms of contact and wear. Are you maybe looking for us to estimate the grade? (I see that you have this posted in the variety and error section.) In any case, it would surprise me if the condition would be sufficient for this coin to fetch much above face value.

To CCF , Yes you found a nice looking 55 year old copper Lincoln Cent . but we would need a photo of the reverse for a grade , though I usually call a found coin that has been circulating : AU . Either way , not much value over 20˘ .

Some of the information I found said it's not worth anything and then some said its worth alot because it's a no mint mark meaning it was made in Philadelphia, and that year (1964) Sacramento was shut down

At best 62/63RD, more likely AU-58, worth very little over face if anything.

Welcome to the forum!
Possibly the 64 cent that you refer to as having a substantial value is the 64 special mint set coin.
I doubt this coin is one though I am not familiar with the SMS coins markers. I think Coop has images of the markers.

Worth a few cents at the most, but I'd put it in a holder and keep it.

Is it just lighting or do I see a bit of MD at the date and Liberty ?
Maybe a couple close up photos would help.

Coins in general have been catching the light exeptionally well recently... Rim orientation maybe enhancing coin's ability to reflect light?
