Just after posting my last post I finished looking at my money for strange rare serial numbers and found my first star note that I can remember.

Since it's not UNC it's worth $1 in the outside world.
But to you ... maybe a bit more.
Keep it if you like it.
Describe it as if there were no picture.

UNC = uncirculated.

Most collectors like their stars crisp and fresh from the pack. Yours shows wear but is in pretty good condition and part of 3.2M note run. That's one I'd keep.

I personally save all my Star Notes, and others that catch my eye.

Thinking behind it, although I could and most likely am wrong is:
Paper Currency has a short (several years) lifespan before they are worn out, pulled from circulation and replaced.

So if most people Don't think there valuable and spend them, then they get worn out, pulled from circulation and replaced, then the nice ones I pulled and protected years earlier will Become collectable and valuable.

But don't let this secret out or others might start doing the same.
