These three wheaties, 53 s, 55 d and 57 d odd die strikes on the dates. I will soak them to see if it is some substance but I think they are die chips. Maybe grease?
I wonder if this was common in these mint dates.

Looks like a few die chips.

Very common for 50 era cent, however some of those die chips are markers on/for DDO cents...be sure to check them out
