1969 D Over S Lincoln Cent....

So I found a 69 d a while back and something just didn't look right about the mint mark I asked some individuals on here about it well and I was told it was an indention where the mint mark has shifted or eroded and that it is impossible for it to be so Just wasn't sure because there are indications on the d that make it possible and so I gave it to a friend of mine who happens to work in a forensic lab he sent me this pic. So I would really like some feedback on what the heck this is thank you in advance..

I looked on Lincoln Cent Resource and an OMM is not listed for that date.

I did also and that's why I'm trying to figure this out. I know it seems far-fetched but it's there I'm going to a shop next week and get it looked at and j will update on it and a few others.

It looks like there is a S in the first photo.

@djrob, my personal opinion is that it isn't an OMM, but rather just vaguely S-shaped surface discoloration, but I'm interested to hear what the LCS has to say. Please be sure to follow-up with their thoughts in this thread. Thx.
