That is not a small cud, that is a nice size cud. The reverse should show weakness opposite that area.

yes coop you are correct when I read your comment I looked. the S on pluribus shows doubling.on the reverse of the cud. shows what a rookie I am.I will take a pic and post it.

Well there won't be doubling, but a weakness of the strike:

Note on the 'ONE' on the reverse? Do you see the weakness there. The lack of the missing dies pressure prevents the forming of the opposite devices.:

You can see the weakness more on the rim on this coin. This has a cud and a die clash. (Not often to see both on the same coin) The weakness is on 'STATES'.
