Although the pics are not very clear but it does look like MD on the Ear

Note:
1. The area is flat looking.
2. There is no contour on the affected area.
3. Nothing is enlarged or raised on this area.
4. Note the edge is the only think affected. On a doubled die, the spread is in the center of the devices. Only notches show on the corners of the devices.

Probably Machine Doubling. Clearer pictures would be helpful.

I did enjoy the third image with the blue reflection. I've seen red before from a light on a camera. (Probably die a recording and the paused and posted an image. I've seen this mostly on shiny BU or proof coins.
Sometimes you can see reflection on proof coins:
