While I was going through a box of quarters I was thinking and I'll ask the community, Do you think there is still some quarters from the great American coin hunt out there that has not been found?

I finally found my first W quarter earlier this week. This puts me at wonderful rate of one-out-of-10,000 searched. Sure is curious why the initial rate (I think) was set at 1/200.

Well, at least I saved myself some cash. I was going to start buying one of each ATB when the prices got down to around $8 apiece. Now I only need five instead of six!

Yes. West Point (W) minted quarters are still out there--reduced in number for sure, but they can be uncovered. I found my 17th 2019 W last Friday in a roll of mixed quarters. It showed some light circulation dings, but still a W.

A great many. 10,000,000 were minted after all.

You forgot to add in the extra two million for this year's Samoa.

Quite a few I would think. Last year I myself spread around two to three pounds or so of wheat cents. No "junk", well readable mixed dates scattered from PA to South Carolina.
