Hello. I am new here and new to looking through my change for gems. What do you guys think of this quarter? The L I and B seem to be cut short. Half of the quarter has a collar while the other half is smooth. The back seems to have a full collar. Thoughts?
Thank you. This stuff is interesting.

There is a slight MAD (Mis-Aligned-Die) issue, but not enough for a premium for the coin. The 1982 master hub was swelling outwards and all the quarters that year had the devices touching the rims. When Machine Doubling happened, the devices were distorted on to the rim area:

The next year they created a new master hub:

You can look at the bust on each coin and note the 1982 head is larger in size, because of the swelling outwards of the master hub. More of an educational coin to show to a new collector, but no premium for this coin.
