Hi all, hope I find you well. Just wondered if I could ask for some knowledge on this please? I have looked, but cannot find where to start, my Chinese is not good I am afraid... It is made of a non-magnetic metal, silver in colour. I have included pics and measurements / weight for your consideration and would really appreciate your time and advice- even a prod in the right direction as far as the meaning of the inscriptions would be a great help. It came with a load of old silver world coins and had had me stumped ever since... My thanks and Best Wishes.

@phoenix_rising, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is an interesting piece.

As it looks homemade, I'd probably characterize it as a modern-day love token. However, someone with better Mandarin-reading skills will have to weigh in on what it says. I've got yao guo (#22829;#22255;) on the first side, but that doesn't have any particular meaning to me.

First picture: husband/sage and country/kingdom
Second picture: sacred/holy and precious

Not much help, huh?
Brother, can you spare a "BARBER" dime?

There are many Chinese four character idioms and their meaning is often complicated to translate
character by character.
The best that I have found is:

Sacred Treasure

Alternatively, it could be translated as
A husband is a sacred treasure
but that is stretching it.

Brother, can you spare a "BARBER" dime?

Well, the tentative translations are consistent with the love token idea. very interesting.
