What's the most expensive coin you bought. How much did you pay. I bought morgan 1880 S for 30$, so far that's the most expensive one.

Mine would be an '09-S VDB Lincoln Cent graded by PCGS at AU55. Paid $1375.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
Seriously, a 1916 Standing Lib quarter, VG-10 (PCGS).
Paid? A ton of bucks. messed up my coin budget for a while.

the most expensive coin I have bought was the 1812 Large Cent in my 7070 album, it was graded by PCGS as AU-58 and I paid like $4500.00 for it. The most expensive coin I own is the 1907 High Relief Wire Edge St. Gaudens graded MS-64 by NGC that my grandfather gave me and it stays in the safe deposit box that he had it in when he died

I've got a couple of Chain cents that I paid $1,000 each for. But my most expensive purchase was a counterfeit PCGS slab that I paid $1,400 for.

1811 Classic Head Large Cent. I paid $900, about double what I had previously paid for a single coin.

As of now only $230 for PCI graded MS64 RB 1931-S Lincoln. But, I have many coins in the $100-$200 range, and I am looking to make some larger purchases in the coming months to add some of the more elusive lincolns to my collection (i.e. '09S, '21S in MS64).

Not my most expesive, but most recently bought a 1909S XF for $75 at a local coin club auction. I was happy to say the least.

I'm sure BadThad would agree. Any 09-S is a good coin!

Hey AuldFartte, that is one beautiful Classic Head Large Cent. That was a nice acquisition, great color and not the usual funky porous planchet.
My most expensive (meaning the most I paid) would be a 1879CC GSA dollar My most valuable (money wise) would be my 1800 Draped bust dollar, AU50(raw) purchased 10 years ago from a friend who needed money to move. My most precious would be (circa 1715) undated Spanish Cob 8 reales that I brought up off a 1715 spanish ship wreck. That day was coin collecting at it's best!

My most expensive coin was the FIRST coin I ever bought, because I have not quit buying ever since I wonder how much I have spent on my collection....and where I would have spent that same money if it hadn't been spent on coins.
