but the person who had it sold it to a dealer in Edmonton,
i am a member of a few groups on facebook and I noticed some lady posted a picture of an 1881 cent and asked if it was a micro D, well I noticed it was a SSN so I msgd her to tell her what she had and told her it was quite scarce, I then asked if she wanted to sell it. turns out it was not hers but a friends from a late husbands collection.
after I told her it was rare she said they were going to try to look up auctions to see what it was worth and of coarse they couldnt find any, she then told me she was going to bring it to a dealer to see what he says, right away I said dont sell to a dealer because I will pay more than a dealer, well a couple days later she informed me the she sold it to a dealer,,,,oh well I guess I will have to find another

That's a nice one gidjit!

I know it was a disappointment when you found out it was sold. Keep on searching. There's one out there for you somewhere. I'm still hoping to find one also.

Ugh that sounds frustrating. I hate when things slip through my fingers like that.

It's a rare coin. It's on my list. I will eventually find one. And it will happen when least expected. I always get a kick out of how things happen. There is something out there that greatly enjoys our amusement.
