I'm still trying to learn and get better with this. Lately I've been getting better at identifying Machine Doubling, such as shelf-life/step look and the fact that the devices would be altered. However sometimes I run into something I am not sure about.

If anyone can tell me if this is double die, Machine Doubling, or something else - and why it is what it is, I would appreciate it!

I focused on the relevant spots here, 1986:

1987 D:

What do you guys think? Thanks!

That is DDD. Also,it would be called a doubled die not a double die.

Oh, wow thanks! I was not aware. I just did a search on DDD, very interesting.

That would explain why it doesn't look like either doubled die or Machine Doubling.
