Sorry, but I have to strongly disagree with GMS5 on this one. Looks like classic Machine Doubling, which adds no value. Definitely not a doubled die.

okay I just wanted to be sure before I put it in the spinning pile. I know that there is a double die for the Roosevelt dime I'm just unsure of what year

with SamCoin. Classic MD. No extra value.

Not so quick to put it in the "spinning " pile. Save your dime.

There may be MD on the western edge of the eye, but there is clear separation on the secondary eyelid to the north. The central part of the die is a classic place for class 4 doubling to occur.

, I definitely saw clear separation of eyelids. But if it's MD it's a doozy. Either way I would for sure keep it.

The upper eye that has your attention, is on all the dimes:

I want to list it on ebay but don't want to for the simple fact I don't know what value to assign to it. If you were to buy this coin (hypothetically) how much would you be willing to pay for it

@AlphaCBB, there are numerous doubled dies on Roosevelt dimes, not just one. Use Wexler's die varieties or variety vista if you need references. Dimes have fewer doubled die varieties than pennies for example, but there are still dozens of varieties.

Thanks for pointing that out Coop.

The OP's coin sure had a much more defined and sharper upper eye socket than what I remembered on the design and it seems parallel to the real eyelid, not angled.

Real world value: 10 cents.
ebay value: nothing, a waste of time.
