Hello,

I have this odd 1944 Wheat penny coin. It may be an error coin but I am not sure. It could also be nothing and just happened over time, but that odd imprint to the left makes me think it was stamped by something. It almost looks like ridges, maybe? Of course just guessing. Any thoughts or ideas would be great. I keep trying to google several different phrases on what it could be and I am not coming across a coin that has a stamped imprint like that.

@j9347, as noted by the frog, this castellated impression is what happens when the reeded edge of a dime, quarter, or half-dollar impacts the surface of a cent.
