Second is a Hungarian denar dated 1521

First is one of these I think

Both are Hungarian dinars, top is older, I think 1300s-1400s, before the "Madonna + child" design was introduced.

There is an excellent reference on the coins of Hungary available for download in PDF format. The Coins and Kings of Hungary. Just do a search on you browser.

The first one is as mentioned a 1390-1427 Hungarian Denar under Sigismund of Luxemburg;Huszar 576,Unger 449c,Pohl 117-11. The dot over the shield is the mint mark. The other one as mentioned is under King Louis II with a K-A mint mark. Numista also has an excellent listing of Hungarian Denars.
