That's a rare one, about $1200 value if I'm not mistaken. I'm thinking above XF40, but below AU50. Interested to see what people think too!

I'll say AU-50, obverse hairlines are worrisome.

XF45 to AU50 if sent in by a commoner like most of us here.

If sent in by the big auction house AU53 to 55.

So this did come back as AU-53. I was guessing an AU-50.

With the big auction guys? I wouldn't be surprised if they got AU-58

I was thinking AU-50. PS. You should wait at least 2 days to give us all time to chime in

So is that typical with PCGS/NGC being easy on older cleanings and scarcer coins?
Would knowing that it might have had an old cleaning affect trying to sell it in the future?

To me this seemed like a pretty obvious AU53, attributing a weak strike to the lack of detail on the breast feathers and hairline. Still a decent amount of luster in low points of devices and in the fields.

In terms of resale, depends who's buying it. With all the hairlines and the old cleaning a factor, it will sell on the lower end of the spectrum in my opinion. I wouldn't pay top dollar 53 money personally. If someone's buying the slab and not the coin, then maybe IMO
